Bread of Life is a delightful little coffee shop in the middle of Da Nang, Vietnam with a purpose.
A unique call from God prompted by a love for underprivileged people caused a café to become a haven for Deaf living in Vietnam.
Bread of Life provides the Deaf with opportunities, training and employment. The Deaf make all items and the breads fresh from their own bakery. All profits support Deaf projects.
We stopped by for a cup of coffee on the recommendation of Roger and Holly Ford of South East Asia Development Corporation. While at Bread of Life, we met a member of the staff, Binh. (In the picture below he’s at about 4:00.) Through writing notes of greetings and introductions we quickly learned about his wife and family as he did ours. We left with promises of emails in the future. We continue to pray for blessings on all the staff at Bread of Life.
Bob and Kathleen Huff saw the needs of the deaf and the lack of educational and employment opportunities in Vietnam. They began focusing their time and efforts on changing the situation of the deaf.
Kathleen currently overseas the Bread of Life project. Bob is currently the pastor of the International Fellowship Church in Da Nang.
