Who We Are
|
At Versó, we choose not to retain custody of assets. Instead, we have relationships with established institutional partners that use custodians such as Pershing LLC, a 70 year old firm owned by Bank of New York Mellon that is responsible for nearly $907.5 billion in assets.
Capital Financial Group/H. Beck, Inc., serves us as an independent broker-dealer, headquartered in Rockville, MD with second home office/service center in Long Beach,CA. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Securian Capital, which has served clients for 130 years.

Trisha Bailey, MBA
Chief Operating Officer
Registered Principal of H.Beck, Inc.
Following careers with the State Department in Seoul, Korea, and a real estate developer, Trisha discovered the financial services industry. She grew up in Plant City, Florida, and was an honor graduate of the University of Florida with a B.S. in Food and Resource Economics, and a minor in Communications. She enjoys adventure racing, international mission trips, surfing, boating with her family, and reading.

Phillip J McKellop, CEO
Registered Principal of H. Beck, Inc.
Following a European upbringing, the son of a US military officer and South Tyrolean mother, Phillip understood the deficiencies of a socialist structure. So at the age of 19, he moved to the United States to pursue what the free enterprise system allowed..."The American Dream”... and succeeded. With little more than $40 to his name, he began designing a new life for himself.
He began his career in the financial industry 20 years ago, helping others who were determined to achieve well-being, regardless of the odds. He thinks in truly unconventional ways, with high moral expectations.
Phillip loves mountain biking, boating and free-dive spear fishing.
He is a Premier Consultant with Genworth Financial, a multiple year qualifier as an Advisor Council Member for Fidelity Investments, as well as a Premier Advisor with Sun Life Financial.
Phillip has met the requirements by the American College and has the industry-wide recognized designation of Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). His registration credentials include FINRA Series 24: General Securities Principal, FINRA Series 7: General Securities Representative, NASAA Series 63: Uniform Securities Agent State Law, and is a licensed life, variable annuity and health insurance agent.

Lois Bratkovich, CFP®,
Registered Representative of H. Beck, Inc.
Lois is an honor graduate of Wheaton College with a bachelor in music performance. After raising a family of six children, she decided to pursue a career in finance, working in the banking industry for five years.
We believe Lois has an ability of guiding people through things they might typically avoid; whether the reason is lack of direction or desire. If it’s the financial plan they don’t understand or the estate planning they put off, she provides realistic direction and sound accountability. We believe this helps provide people with confidence that they have done their best as a good steward.
Her favorite pastimes include spending time with family, church and community activities, playing the bassoon, snow skiing, and reading.
Lois holds the FINRA Series 7: General Securities Representative and is a licensed life, variable annuity and health insurance agent.

Melanie Davis
Client Service Specialist
Melanie is the voice of Versó. She’s the first person with whom you’ll speak when you call our office. She was raised in St. Augustine and moved to Jacksonville at a young age to make a go of it on her own. She has had successful careers in banking, insurance and staffing. After taking some time to raise her family, we were fortunate to have her join us in caring for our clients’ needs.
Melanie has a special combination of compassion and tenacity. These qualities make her the person you want to follow through on challenging projects. Yet, she is the first to know about someone’s new grandchild, kitchen remodel or personal accomplishment. If she asked you a question, you can bet, if it’s about your family, she will remember what you share with her.
Melanie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is an athlete in constant pursuit of reducing her minutes/mile. If there’s a 15-k in town, most likely, Melanie is competing. She is completing her education at Nova Southeastern University and simultaneously preparing to take her FINRA Series 7 exam this year.
She holds her life, health and variable annuities license.
